I had done a bit of business with @Srufener dating back to early 2026. For most of his transactions, we just interacted in-game, and he paid via Venmo or CashApp. Got a notification for three chargebacks this morning via Venmo. I keep pretty detailed logs of everything, so I looked back to see what the transactions were. Two of them were off-site, with his characters toon01 and toon02 in-game on Firiona Vie. The $34.50 one was for Krono from ECT, and came from someone who appears to have already been suspended, at the least.

The transaction definitely struck me as odd, but I looked back and saw I had already done a fair amount of business with the guy, and it was only 3 Krono, so I didn't think too much of it and sent them his way.

But I looked up my transaction log with toon01 on FV, and he said I had apparently messaged him about automating AAs on ECT. So I looked it up, and it looks like @Srufener is the same dude. Username also fits with Shaun Rufener being the one who initiated the chargebacks. Pretty wacky AI reply on the AAs too

Didn't bother redacting anything since he went ahead and reversed everything he could. But let me know what's going on @Srufener

Regardless I'm lost on why people are scumbags to even consider chargebacks etc. BUT, Why even bother doing it with the "bigger" folks. They act like they wont get caught and hope to let it slide when it wont.

My best guess would be that some of these guys get into financial trouble and are trying to claw back money however they can. Or wife found out about EQ spending. But there's a few really bad ones out there who just view scamming as another source of income...

It sucks for sure. I put a lot of time and effort into these orders (I know you know!) and I got mouths to feed as well, this definitely doesn't make it any easier.

make sure to keep all toon names out of a post no matter what. I know it sucks but it is a rule we have here.
