Terms & Rules

You're visiting a small EverQuest trading community where people treat each other like peers, not customers or servants.

Accounts & eligibility

• One account per person. If you want a new name, use the Ducat shop. Don't create a second account.
• Don't share your account with anyone.
• If you share a computer or IP address with someone else, you're responsible for what they do here.
• You must be at least 18 to use the site, and we're suspicious if you're under 40. If you're banned, stay off the site until the ban is lifted.
• Keep valid contact info on your account, including a working email address.

Posting & listings

• Keep listings honest. Don't mislead other traders or hide what you're actually offering.
• Don't reveal your character names in public, or those of members in good standing.
• Don't post the same or similar thread over and over. Each of your self-bumped threads on the first page must be a unique listing, up to six at a time.
• Don't link to external trading sites or communities (including group chats) without admin approval.
• Don't reply to a trade thread just to increase its visibility.
• Don't cold-message people. That's spam. Only reach out to someone who has a recent public thread or a recent transaction with you.
• Don't make baseless scam accusations.

Trading

• Keep your word. Once you've agreed to a trade, follow through unless the other trader changes the terms after you've agreed.
• If you take a deposit, state your refund terms clearly. Deposits are refundable when there's no delivery, unless you say otherwise.
• Traders may request a refund when a trade wasn't completed. For account trades, the trade is complete upon a recipient's successful login.
• After a trade is complete, we won't hold either trader responsible for things outside their control: GM actions, guild issues, glitches, acts of God, or account bans. Your trader's written policy or agreement may say otherwise, and honest feedback is always welcome.

Feedback

• Feedback must be honest. It can cover completed trades or trades that were substantially attempted.
• Moderators may remove feedback when:
  1. Both parties agree to remove it.
  2. A dispute vote is purchased in the Ducat shop and wins.
  3. The account that left the feedback is no longer in good standing.
  4. The feedback contains content that's in violation of a rule.
• Don't undermine the feedback system. Undermining the system includes but is not limited to trading feedback, hyping up a friend, and review bombing someone who probably deserves it. Don't export or use feedback data for purposes outside ECTunnel.

Community standards

• Don't harass the staff. They're volunteers doing a job. Don't make it harder.
• Keep your listings positive. Talk about what you're offering, not what other traders lack.
• Don't post methods or encourage actions that would cost the game company business.
• No white supremacy or misogyny. We chat about EverQuest.
• Don't post private or identifying details about members in good standing.
• Don't take malicious action that leads to someone's game account getting banned.
• If you're leaving the community, your account will be banned since you won't need it anymore.
• Don't be a jerk. This one covers anything we missed.

Disclaimers

ECTunnel is a community venue. We provide a place for members to post, talk, and trade. We are not a broker, escrow service, auctioneer, payment processor, or party to any trade between members.

We do not take a cut of trades. Optional memberships and site features, such as extra inbox space and verification, are not trade insurance and do not mean we are reviewing, approving, backing, or guaranteeing anyone's listings or trades.

You are responsible for your own trades. We can moderate the site, restrict accounts, remove content, and offer community guidance, but we are not responsible for resolving trades or making either trader whole. We cannot promise that a listing is accurate, that an item or account is safe, that a trader will follow through on their side of a trade, or that a recipient will receive what was agreed.

We may moderate, edit, remove, move, or leave up content at our discretion. Moderating something does not mean we approved it, and not moderating something does not mean we endorse it.

Member posts belong to the person who posted them. By posting on ECTunnel, you give us permission to display that content on the site and keep it as part of the community record, including feedback, dispute history, and moderation history.

The site is provided as-is and as-available. We try to keep things running, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free service, or that every post, message, or piece of information will always be available.

To the extent allowed by law, ECTunnel, RedGuides LLC, staff, moderators, and related helpers are not responsible for claims, losses, chargebacks, disputes, bans, account issues, damages, or other problems connected to your use of the site or trades with other members.

If your use of the site causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with that claim, including legal fees, to the extent allowed by law.

We may update these rules when the site or community changes. If you keep using ECTunnel after changes are posted, that means you accept the updated version.
