I was the target of MarryMe's scams and he hit me pretty hard- I lost thousands of dollars to him. He used stolen PayPal accounts from users all over the world to buy Krono and then resold it.
The cases were closed nearly immediately since all payments were sent from China when the accounts were US, Canada, Mexico, and India based.
I say he but, really, it's "they" as his group still operates on ECTunnel and used other peoples' passports to verify accounts. Killa offered to help me contact the police but nothing ever came of it.
When MarryMe was banned I requested that Redbot delete enough feedback to get him off of the leaderboard. MarryMe had 612 or 613 positive feedback.
Partway through deletion, Red decided to leave him there as a reminder that even highly feedbacked members can go rogue.
That said, I agree with this proposal. Zhou is pretty close to overtaking him.
Segue, but the verification system needs an overhaul to ensure that the person using an account is the current user. Yearly refreshes of ID with a selfie and a randomly generated string on a piece of paper.
There are even US accounts that raise questions about the real identity of the user. Is it really verification if it's a lie?
