I have done a lot of business with Diamond but from the messages I've recieved it seems he is going full scorched earth. I would encourage admins to put an "under investigation" tag on his account at the very least.

I went to message him about this dispute and it looks like he has now blocked me on Discord with no explanation. I have another trader that has informed me that Diamond got 50+ Krono from him and then ghosted in the same exact manner today.

It isn't my trade so I won't be posting any screenshots shared with me but I encourage ANY user that has been scammed to come forward. It doesn't matter what ranked trader he is, post what happened to you.
 
Been a long time since i had any deal with DK, never had any problem, sometimes took a week or so to pay but always paid, hope everything turns out well for everyone.
 
I have only dealth with DK onsite, and didnt have issues, But I have 2 friends on Teek who Diamond has owed 300+ dollars too since the middle of May with very little contact, I do have discord logs and screenshots I could send if you needed them, but since it was offsite trading, and we just had a thread about it, I didnt say anything.

Kinda regretting that now obviously.

DK tried to pump me for loans a couple of years ago. "Xuande, I would do anything for you, brother. Can you loan me $200*?"

* I don't remember the exact amount but I was pretty fucking stunned that it happened at all.
 
For sure, definitely speak up and don't be afraid. This is really sad to see and really unacceptable behavior. Stick to Xuande's safe trading guide that he linked above and you will be 100% safer than you've ever been. Spiffaroni brought this to my attention in a DM. I told him to contact the administrators and make the necessary precautions. Also to prevent any other scams from happening as well. This isn't the first I've heard of this from him unfortunately. When I've dealt with him as I do with every trader, I had him send me the payment first. So that avoided the issue entirely.

But from many other traders I've gotten reports of delayed payments and the likes. All on discord apparently and avoiding the site entirely. This mostly recently came to me but I can only imagine it probably goes back many years. For the record this isn't common practice with the vast majority of the top vendors as I'm sure many are aware. I always send payment immediately after I receive any product and have never operated any other way. I know what it feels like to be strung along. And if you are a completely solvent trader it shouldn't be any issue.

Anyway, I'm sorry to all this has happened to past and present. I hope you get your money back/hard earned krono. Best of luck

Usually when someone comes into a thread like this about them, they at least attempt to clear things up, if you dont want to because its private, thats fine, but whatever you decided to do here is 100% the wrong thing.

I gotta say, my dude, I have a 3 week old (my first), two other step kids, two long term "forever partners", 6 sheep (rip cappuccino 3 weeks ago), 4 goats, 19 chickens, 2 ducks, 6 snakes, 3 bearded dragons, 1 uromastix, 1 crested gecko. I do dishes at least 2 a day, every day, I cook 3+ days a week, do at least my fair share of other housework

My dude. I don't have time to take a shit without combining it with responding to people on forums/discord.

You think I have time to drive to wherever you live and creep around?

He's openly accusing an Admin of stalking him at his home and threatening him with harm. He's claiming that another member is actively trying to murder him on this thread.

And instead of coming into the thread and making even a half-baked attempt at reconciliation, we got to witness… whatever the hell that was. I'm all for trying to work it out so people can get their money back, but it's rapidly moving past that point.

This is supposed to be the number one trader on the website and this is what we get?

Shame on you, Diamond.
 
About two years ago, I stopped working with DK. He failed to pay for a batch of 50 Krono, citing excuses ranging from family issues to banned accounts. After weeks of pressure, he eventually paid. However, when he learned I had switched to more reliable buyers, he became extremely hostile. I saved screenshots of some of the interactions (sent RedBot) as evidence for any future issues. I’m relieved to hear he’s finally been banned.
 
As redbot said, he was given a 1 day because of the going sideways stuff - he was spamming insults, profanities, and some ludicrous nonsensical stuff to the admin/mod team all of which is pretty uncharacteristic.

This all looks pretty grim, but hopefully today he has a clearer head and will address and rectify all this mess.

Based on a lot of the stuff I'm being shared, it doesn't look good. A real fucking shame
 
The fact that he was even considered given a 2nd chance after everything he said to admins/public spewing of dumb shit, is a bit shocking.

Personally, I've blocked him on discord and will never use him again even if he's allowed back. Dude needs help.

in case what i said wasn't received how it was intended - the "rectify all this mess" for >me< means him getting all the outstanding $ and krono squared up.

he threatened me and has been spreading around false information that im at his place of residence, stalking him, and that he's going to kill me --- so just for clarity sake, we (admin/mod team) want him to square up anyone he's scammed and then go from there.

That being said, DK was always solid with me. I got the impression he relied on meds for his mental health. I used to work as a nurse in mental health, so it's possible his old meds have stopped working, or he mixed meds, or he tried to go off them, in which case this is very sad news. I hope he finds the help he needs at this time. Unfortunately I can't reach out to him because the only way I had to communicate with him was through conversations on ECT. It's initially mind blowing to see someone destroy their meticulously built enterprise like this, but not so much when you understand the mental health causes that often underly such things. I hope you get the help you need DK! God bless.

And of course, this now serves as another cautionary tale to all members of ECT! We've been talking about this in the "Suggestions" Forum for a while now. How use of the word "safe" in WTS threads is misleading advertising. Safety cannot be guaranteed in the RMT market. For example, I've seen Darkpaw remove krono from the game they labeled "fraudulent" without any reason or explanation of what qualifies a krono as fraudulent in the first place. It was also suggested top traders be removed who are now banned, but their existence might better serve as a reminder that safety and security are not guaranteed here. This is a reputation-based community however, and reputation is still king.

Sorry to all who lost out in this catastrophe. None of us want them feels.
