I’ve been dealing with someone named Varls for about a month. He has bought several things from me in which I stashed the goods on an account of mine that I don’t use so that he may access it and pull the items off slowly to try to undermine any suspicious trades that may be seen by Admins. We did another trade last night and I told him that this is the last of what I have to sell off.

Today he messaged me and said everything is gone and the character is moved.. I can’t believe this is happening - etc.

Just giving a heads up to this guy because I’m not sure what route he is trying to take.

Update: I believe we fixed the situation. I took his word and returned his money from the transaction yesterday.

I would like to add that I responded to his claim over an hr ago and he has yet to be back online. If I lost out on items that I paid for I feel like I would be a little more engaged. Just wanted to bring light to this account in case he’s trying to initiate a scam.

Trading on P99 comes with a lot of risk. Their admins DO look at ECTunnel so it is advisable to leave feedback for deals days- maybe even weeks- later to not have your transaction tied to a trade of valuable assets in game.
There are also a lot of scammers on P99 who exploit the information above to get free gear by claiming item deletions or bans. Not saying that is what occurred in this situation.

Unfortunately, even if he scammed you like this, there's no evidence either way. It's really his word that the items were deleted versus the fact that RMT is usually an immediate ban on P99.

7. Real Money Trades (RMT) are not allowed on Project 1999.

The involvement of any currency, items, or services external to any Project 1999 Server (Including but not limited to: real money (USD, Euro, Etc), regulated or otherwise (Bitcoins), Food/Delivery, Virtual currency of any other game (Platinum on Live or other EQEmulator Servers, Beta Keys for the latest new game, etc)) for any of that Project 1999 server's virtual items or service (Including by not limited to: Items, Platinum, Powerlevelling, Accounts/Characters) is strictly forbidden. This is a very serious rule, and violation of this rule willl result in permanent bans of all the accounts of the players involved. Real money trades includes, but is not limited to, trading for items or platinum in game, powerleveling services, accounts, characters, or other services. Currency includes all forms of real world OR virtual currency (IE, bit-coins, WoW gold, etc) AND real world items (Pizza's, Blooming Onions, Televisions, etc). Do not joke about RMT on Project 1999. We will take all offers of RMT on Project 1999 seriously. Account trading and selling is not allowed on Project 1999 in any form.
