Yeah, for setting up SMS you need the email, but imo this should be organized and sorted out when the sale goes through, once you have that tied even if they kept the emu they can't do shit to your actual account. Essentially EMU is an old system now that has been kicked to the curb.

Quick note to all, the ONLY thing which matters is if it's SMS linked. If he hasn't linked it and you go ahead and link it, even with the EMU he cannot change your login server password without knowing what you changed it to... Go take another look at the emu site and you'll see what I mean.

I'd like to add that even though it is not a sure thing... I actually got just around 100k plat before the big ban waves, spent over half of it and still haven't been caught up with ( even though the plat did get hit in the wave). What did I do? nothing I just spent it and got help to transfer...

Word. I bought one for the first time at the beginning of this year, put in many hours to making my own stamp on it and it got hacked back by his friend and they set up the whole works securing the account. Needless to say I don't get involved in any RMT activities anymore, I just lurk on these...

Question, to recover an account do they only need an SMS number? For example if you have the emu email but not the number attached ? Otherwise this system seems to shut down account trading if people opt into it.

Just a friendly warning, make sure you verify the account isnt tied via SMS now too. It's becoming all too risky to buy an account these days :/

All a huge mix up that finally we got to the bottom of, still a few issues to iron out but I'm more than happy with the way this was resolved.. I was so close to dropping the final blow And am glad I didn't. Still need to check out the account in game as I can't get to my pc atm but everything...
