Hello there, Haieyeliekcats scammed me out of $120.00. He had a Shaman, Wiz, and SK post, I attempted to purchase the Shaman. He has since deleted all the posts to "erase" evidence even though you can res them lol.

I believe I have been scammed. About an hour ago I sent $150 to Haieyeliekcats for a level 65 Wizard that he DM'ed me about after he saw I had posted in the WTB section.

It's been over an hour, the original posting was deleted, and I still haven't received any character log in information.

Then I saw @Vandax post that he believes he has been scammed as well.

Here is a screenshot of the PayPal transaction.

It looks like @Haieyeliekcats aka Everquest4lyfe sold the same characters to several people.

Contact Paypal and your funding source (bank, credit card) in order to reverse the charge. Basically follow what we did for drog23 and there's a chance you get your $ back.

Over $950 is considered a felony via Internet Fraud. Might be a good idea to contact his local non-emergency PD number and file a report. Going to need PayPal records and conversations from here though I’m sure.
Has anyone attempted to contact him or his relatives as of yet?
 
Vandax, and everyone else affected. File the dispute online, but I’d definitely get a person on the phone with PayPal to explain the situation. They seem to be much more helpful when you’re not just “another random email” to them.

We will look into that but I live just a little bit away from Portland and the police are not taking non emergency calls atm do to they are a hot spot for this virus.
 
I hope you all get your money back and this guy gets what he deserves.

It sucks this happened and my heart goes out to those who were effected and basically scammed but guys you thought you were going to get a fully raid geared time geared SK for 250 in era? come on guys... really? When I saw his posts I laughed at them but I thought maybe he was desperate or something. Turns out he was just offering a deal too good to be true and was looking for marks to take him up on it.

Why didnt you guys go through the trusted people to make sure you didnt get scammed?

The service is offered here to everyone.

This never should have happened to anyone he never should have been able to get away with it.
 
I hope you all reported the fraud to Paypal, they will blacklist him with enough complaints.

based on the info you posted in your post it looks unrelated, doesn't necessarily mean it is but thats my 2cents. One thing you can learn is that you have to be real careful who you purchase from and in most cases its better to go to a verified seller. GL in getting your money back im rootin for ya
